Job Description
Assistant Director, Residential Life
Provide leadership to the Residential Life Neighborhood and support the strategic vision of Purdue University Residences residential campus environment which offers students opportunities for personal growth through relationship building within a residential campus environment.  Share in the student-centered focus for the neighborhood oversight of three to five residences and additional master leased properties housing approximately 4,000 students (of the 14,000 student residential system) through a commitment to student development, academic success, supervision, teamwork and communication.  Provide direction and expertise to the neighborhood while working to maintain and enhance the intercultural, educational, and social experiences of residential students. Maintain a commitment to the success of Purdue's strategic plan.

Qualifications & Requirements
Required:

Master's degree
Three years' experience in Residential life
Demonstrated leadership, coaching, strong written, and oral communication skills
Strategic leadership, customer service and financial management skills
Decision making and multi-tasking
Required competencies for this position are work standards, communication, interpersonal and intercultural relations, and decision making
Additional required competencies may include financial management, coaching and leading people, strategic thinking, and drive for results
Ability to work effectively with individuals from different viewpoints and backgrounds
