UCLA Administration is a conglomerate of business and campus support units delivering diverse services to the University and its constituents. Presently, the organization operates on annual revenue/funding of nearly $800 million from multiple fund sources and is responsible for outstanding debt of $1.1 billion.

Reporting directly to the Administrative Vice Chancellor, the incumbent provides management resources to the organization in the areas of financial management, strategic planning and organizational effectiveness. Incumbent is responsible for directing and monitoring the implementation of the financial and related budgetary objectives, including financial reporting and oversight across Administration departments. As a member of the Administration Leadership Team, incumbent coordinates the process for setting objectives to align organizational functions with the campus strategic plan, and is responsible for coordinating development and management of the Administration strategic plan and annual financial reports. In addition, the incumbent is a strategic advisor to the Vice Chancellor and provides leadership on encouraging departments across Administration to implement measures for the continuous improvement of the work environment and work processes, resulting in the delivery of excellent and efficient customer centric services.

Required Qualifications
• Highly developed skill in both verbal and written communication to address sensitive, complex and broad ranging issues. Ability to work in a consultative and collaborative manner with the highest level of campus leadership.
• Advanced education/training and practical knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Demonstrated skills in financial planning and analyses and the preparation and administration of multi-million dollar budgets from a variety of fund sources, including appropriately correlating available fiscal resources with departmental programmatic needs.
• Experience in directing the implementation of innovative solutions to address operational, budgeting and financial reporting needs in a large, complex and diverse service organization.
• Experience in leading effective planning, budgeting and financial management processes as well as financial modeling in a large, complex organization with multiple funding sources and strategic business operations.
• Demonstrated skill in the areas of fiscal management, strategic planning, and operational management in a diverse portfolio of businesses.
• Experience developing and using metrics to measure performance, processes, and services.
• Experience with leading process improvement and/or organizational effectiveness efforts.
• Experience with organizational change management efforts.
• Extensive skill and knowledge in effective employee selection, training, performance appraisal and employee development, as well as in the area of human resource administration.
• Demonstrated strength in building effective relationships with internal and external partners.
• Ability to work independently, accepting challenging circumstances and taking initiative to solve problems where solutions are not always readily apparently.
• Ability to exercise tact and discretion in sensitive matter(s) requiring confidentiality. Ability to listen effectively and to deal with sensitive information.
