Description:
This position is a 9-month faculty position in the Department of Higher Education teaching in the masterís program in College Counseling and Student Development (CCSD), advising masterís students, and conducting research. The CCSD Program has been established for over 45 years, is located in Southern California, and prepares a diverse student body to become excellent practitioners in the field of Student Affairs/Student Services. Azusa Pacific is a faith-based, Christian university and the Department of Higher Education has a focus on strengths-based leadership with a social justice lens.

Responsibilities:
Teaching in a masterís program preparing Student Affairs professionals.
Advising masterís students including coaching through the Capstone
culminating experience.
Conducting research.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required: Earned doctorate in Higher Education or a related field, excellent teaching and communication skills, leadership experience in Student Affairs, and ability to effectively engage with students from a wide variety of diverse backgrounds. Teaching experience, a track record of scholarship, strong organizational abilities, and ability to integrate faith and learning.

Preferred: Teaching experience at the graduate level, expertise in quantitative research methods, ability to teach counseling skills, and expertise in the community college environment.

Workload: 9-month contract (24 units), teaching 7-8 courses per year
