The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Marketing and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. Our guiding principles are to start with the customer, move faster, and partner effectively.

Within Wells Fargo Compliance, the Enterprise Testing group is responsible for establishing and maintaining a consolidated Enterprise Testing program at the corporate level. Enterprise Testing is responsible for developing a common methodology and standards, providing governance and oversight, executing testing; and conducting horizontal reviews. Testing and validation teams are responsible for implementing the Enterprise Testing methodology and standards, and executing group- specific testing.

The Consumer Banking/Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovations (CB/PVSI) Testing and Validation team for Unfair or Deceptive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) and Sales Practice (SP) is seeking a Compliance Testing Manager to manage the team’s testing activities specific to the Deposit Products Group and Operations.  This position will report to the leader of CB/PVSI UDAAP and SP Testing and Validation and will direct regulatory compliance risk control testing activities.  This position will interact with the UDAAP Program Office, Legal, Business Control teams, the Testing and Validation Center of Excellence, line of business Compliance teams, other Testing and Validation managers, Wells Fargo Audit Services, and other oversight groups.

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • 7+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 7+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in risk management



Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative discipline
  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
  • Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk and Testing (specifically prior second line control testing experience) - FREE FORM
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking regulations, compliance, policies, process, and procedures (specifically geared toward UDAAP and • Sales Practices)
  • Critical Thinking and Analytical skills
  • Experience providing “credible challenge” to business partners when necessary
  • Knowledge of risk platforms (RCSA, SHRP, Archer)
  • Compliance or Audit related certifications (e.g. CRCM, CIA)
  • Exposure to and prior testing and monitoring experience related to UDAAP, Sales Practices and Fair Lending
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
