With Verses and Flow, Lexus created a program to showcase the voices of future leaders, giving them a platform to express themselves and to make positive change. Our poets continue to inspire us, not only through their stories, but also through their commitment to teaching, listening to, and being examples for those that are following in their footsteps.
We have established the Lexus Verses and Flow Scholarship, which will provide financial support to the next generation of leaders at our nation's Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The scholarship program will benefit ten schools, with two $5,000 scholarships to be awarded on each campus. Winners will be selected through an essay process, with students describing how they drive positive change and play a leadership role in their community. Lexus is proud of all of the work that these renowned institutions are doing, giving students the necessary tools not only to succeed once they leave, but to thrive. Our scholarship, which falls in line with our Lexus Pursuit of Potential initiative, is a passionate pledge to better the world, and more specifically, the lives of those poised to lead. So many of our Verses and Flow artists are HBCU alumni, and we are proud to provide these scholarships to more leaders and artists in the future.
