DrugNews was created to be the #1 consumer resource for drug research, development, safety and litigation news. As part of this, we support those who research the safety of medications or help develop new drug concepts.

We’re proud to announce our scholarship programs for the 2015 Summer and Fall semesters! These awards target those students planning a career in drug research, or with family members affected by a permanent drug injury.

The scholarships will award $1,000 to a deserving undergraduate student each semester.

WHO QUALIFIES?

In order to qualify, students must:

- be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
- have completed at least 15 hours of undergraduate course work towards their degree
- submit an online application with an essay and transcript.

The essay should range from 400-600 words, and explain why you wish to pursue a career in biology, medicine, biomedical engineering or drug research.

For non-medical related degrees who still wish to apply, explain how the injury of a family member from a drug side effect has affected your educational goals.

For application information and other requirements, go t the scholarship's web site.
