Do you have an experience or set of experiences that led you to absolutely love growing things? Is there a person or group of people, an encounter or series of encounters with plants you can point to as being particularly inspirational in your journey toward pursuing this scholarship? Craft a narrative to help us understand. Use your poetic ability and your story-telling prowess to paint the picture of your path towards studying plants!
We strongly encourage you to include visual content--photos or a video--to augment your story and to help us see the plant-world through your eyes. We also want your words to show us where you see yourself going in this world. It's up to you to find a creative way to incorporate your vision of the future with your story of the past. The winning application will be decided upon by Avant Garden Décor, an affiliate of the Woodstream Corporation. The Avant Garden $500 Scholarship winner is expected to be announced on September 23, 2016.
