The Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest is open to students worldwide with no application required. Essays must be written on one of three topics, which can be accessed on the sponsor's website and must be between 800 and 1,600 words in English only, double-spaced. Entrant must be a 12th-grader, college undergraduate or graduate student for at least one semester during the school year in which the contest is held. The school year is considered to run August through July of the following year. ARI reserves the right to make exceptions to this rule, on a case-by-case basis, for students with nonstandard school years. You must read Atlas Shrugged to write an essay that has a chance to win.
