The UMHEF General Named Endowed Scholarship program includes awards of various amounts from named scholarship funds established by various donors. Applicants must be a member of the United Methodist Church, African Methodist Episcopal Church, AME Zion Church, or Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and planning to attend a United Methodist-related school (list of schools at https://www.umhef.org/about/schools/listofschools/).
In addition to basic eligibility requirements, some funds have additional criteria (i.e., resident of specific conference, majoring in specified field, etc.) students must meet in order to be considered. UMHEF will match you with the award(s) for which you are most eligible based on your application.
Applications are accepted between January 1 and March 1 for the following academic year.
