SANTO DOMINGO, D.R. - Florida A&M's Chris Hargrett captured two medals this weekend for Team USA at the 2006 North American, Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) U-23 Track and Field Championships at the Panamerican Stadium here in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Tucker, GA – The Clark Atlanta University’s Women’s Softball team has been invited to participate in an international tournament in Kingston, Jamaica, July 26-August 1, 2006. The team was invited by the Jamaica Invaders Softball Club to be a participant in their 60th Anniversary Celebration tournament in memory of their Co-Founder, Mrs. Elouise Sinclair.

Orangeburg, SC - The South Carolina State athletics director and head football coach have both been awarded contract extensions. The announcements came during the university's annual Board of Trustees retreat in Charleston.
Charlene Johnson, who is in her third year as athletics director, received a three- year extension, which begins July 1, 2006 and will run to June 30, 2009. Terms of Johnson's agreement were being negotiated.

The Bowie State University Department of Athletics has announced that Cross Country/Track & Field Head Coach Marc Harrison has resigned, effective June 14, 2006 to pursue another opportunity with the University of the District of Columbia.
