Join our senior scientific team and help lead critical efforts to enhance the scientific review of NIH grant applications. Your creative decisions, leadership, and team building could significantly affect the direction of science and health in the U.S. and abroad.
You would lead approximately 40 Scientific Review Officers (SROs) and the review activities of 40-50 study sections and special emphasis panels in four Integrated Review Groups (IRGs) by supervising IRG Chiefs in managing a broad range of human resources issues, recruiting and mentoring, ensuring that peer review principles and practices are applied in a consistent manner across the Division, and overseeing management of the Division’s budget.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree, as well as senior-level research experience in one or more of the following fields: digestive, kidney, urological systems; environmental toxicology; endocrinology, metabolism, nutrition and reproductive sciences; immunology; and infectious diseases and microbiology.
