This topic is to address issues and concerns in black colleges and communities. It's all good to joke around and have fun, but we really need to address some issues and concerns. There is a srious problem inour black institution closing or not haveing acurate funding. Also, the mindset of the students aren't the same. It seems like we are going backward instead of forward. Please, lets talking about some problems and some solutions to those problems. It all starts with us, the young and the black. We have the power to change things if we all get on one page, or at least the same chapter.........

hello all...i know this is a little off the topic but what about Shaw Uinversity? Have you all heard anything about the school. B/c im attending next year and i would like to know someting about it. I've talked to some people and they have told me about the outside of the school, im not really concerned about the outside. I've been told we dont have any cable and that's fine with me b/c u go to school to learn not watch tv. But if anyone could help me on that I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks God Bless!
It's an okay school (I'm a sophomore there) It has it's problems, but most of the stuff they do, you will look back on and think that it was very helpful (like those services that you have to attend every wednesday, or the lack of co-ed visitation). We have a new administration there so the quality of the school may be improving. Some of the students tripped me out last year, because we didn't have any cable or anything that would keep us from doing our work, and you see cats with like 0.6 gpa's and things. But overall it's a good school. But I do hope that you did your Financial Aid early because if you didn't . It's small too. And that ID is going to come in handy when you don't have anything to do, cause you can just jump on the bus (if you don't have a car).
