After reading Xavierette's thread about who is in debt...Im just curious to know who has already fukked up their credit sine they been in school by using alotta credit cards in which they know they cant pay back...I know I have friends who have fukked up their credit already which is a bad thing...
My credit is good. I dont have alot of credit to show...but of what I do have it is good, and continually building up.
I haven't seen my credit report so I don't know exactly where I stand. My mom put me as an authorized user on one of her platinum cards. The balance is low and has never been behind so her 5 year history with the card shows up on my credit history as well. So that can't hurt. Other than that I pretty much have no credit.
My Credit Contains:
1. My student loans: Those aren't negatively affect my credit because they aren't to be paid back until 6 months after I graduate. Plus they'll actually HELP my credit because of the fact that Credit Lenders want to see that you can continously pay back money you've borrowed. So even if it takes me 30 years to pay back my laons, as long as they are on time and never late it'll build my score.
2. My car note: The car I have now is in my name and I've been making payments on for exactly one year this month. The on time payments have built up my credit because it shows I can handle making regular payments.
3. Best Buy Credit Card: I got that sucker just so I could have A CARD. Plus I can get 90 days no interest on any purchase I make. Besides, I was actually shocked that they approved me for $1,000. So far I've charged about......$50, that's mostly because of my internship. I'm tryin' to pay that Sh*t off before the end of the month.
My goal is to buy a small business franchise sometime this month or next month, that way I can become incorporated (LLC) and have my company's name create a line of credit. That way when I buy something I can buy it in my company's name and therefore have a 2ND line of Credit to rely on. Especially since I'm tryin' to have a few things going on while in school in order to bring me some money on the side.
My next step is applying for a Credit Card from MNBA, them suckers only got a 8.9% APR. Shiiiiiiiit, If I could get that, It'd be LOVERLY.
i was looking into buying a subway but i put that idea aside

Seriously tho, Subway was the number #1 Franchise according to Forbes Magazine for 2004.
I wasn't thinking about a LARGE franchise, I was thinking about one of those smaller ones like Pre-paid Legal, or Telecom, or evne eStarNetwork. something small like that, but if you work it right you can make money off it.

before u do that you might need to check to see if that is in compliance with company policy. There is a lot of fine print when comes to a situation like that.
