^^I know right  But quick question....how does A&T have dorms that are not owned and run by the University?? Hampton has "The Harbors" owned by the University's President which are largely predominantly HU student housing, but they are not considered dorms or on campus housing. Is that what you mean?? And 4000 freshmen!! Thats 40% of your student body. There I go wit my stats again....
A&T size has somewhat working against them...I know a few kats who are having MAJOR housing issues..Tell me why have a school when you cant guarantee housing after your freshman year :?:
Yeah, you're right. But anyone that doesn't have housing, they usually end up at the travelodge. This year, however, I have heard instances of students not being offered housing. Which is silly. They're actually BEHIND schedule for the building of our dorms. Scott Hall was supposed to be torn down TWO years ago so they could start on the new dorm. You see they're just now getting around to it...

Well my peeps didnt even have the option for the Travelodge or Aggie Inn.. :? They had to go back early and find an apartment. Bad thing about it...it dont seem like the # of students is going to stop rollin in no time soon...Which is GOOD and BAD for your school....

Ain't no good in it at all if we can't put them anywhere. That means we get all this money coming in, but apparently something isn't being done the way it should be.... We're destined to be the next FAMU... :?

Aggie Suites isn't owned by A&T. I don't remember if the newest addition to the dorms, Pride Hall, is owned by A&T either. Its owned by the A&T Foundation, therefore its not listed whenver you look at statistics because its a private firm. Riverwalk (and apt. complex owned by the foundation as well) is one of the acquisitions I was talking about. A&T will house students there, but its not listed as an official dorm because North Carolina A&T doesn't own it. But they're some of our largest dorms. And 4000 ain't 40% of 13000 people... But arguing statistically is how you know we done moved on up...
^^Yeah you got a point. But 4000 is 40% of 10,000 which is the estimated student enrollment of A&T  , even for this upcoming year, it can't be tremendously more, so I don't know where 13,000 keeps coming from. Where is that info? BTW, I don't know of too many campuses, HBCU or not that don't have housing issues (some, major) I will admit tho, A&T has had them for awhile, and its not getting better

Makes me glad I don't go to A&T. If i had to worry about seeing unimportant people from high school AND having a place to stay, i would lose my mind

I agree. My friend went to FAMU in 02 and they put her in an old storage room with like 3 other girls so she left and went to Howard. But FAMU is still in her heart and she still wants to go back

 real funny  When they close down two of the 3 male dorms, they started leasing apartments complexes from a company where a former housing employee worked. It has increase the housing capacity for this year and next year but we don't know about the year after. By then my apartments will be built around Tallahassee.

This thread makes me feel proud my school is in East Bumble and a Private Institution. I mean yeah our freshman are starting to spill into upperclassmen but it will be a sad day in Hampton Roads when they start putting folks in Holiday Inn, etc.
