The SWAC on the other hand has Southerm, Grambling J-State, ASU, and a few others....only good school yall got academically is Tuskeegee. I wasn't about to let the SIAC, SWAC, and MEAC lay claim to every intellectual accolade; let's examine the facts: CIAA VUU - Douglas Wilder (former Governor of Virginia) NCCU Law - Mike Easley (current Governor of North Carolina) NCCU - Julius Chambers (former head of NAACP Legal Defense Fund) Shaw - Willie Gary (NCCU Law) one of the richest attorneys in the country WSSU - Louis Farrakhan NCCU - Ernie Barnes (best known for the paintings featured in Good Times) NCCU - Andre' Leon Talley - Editor-at-Large of Vogue Magazine Just a few named here. . .

I thought this beef was between the MEAC and SWAC....no one said anything bad about the SIAC
(clears throat) I got this one yall No one said anything about the SWAC either. The point of this thread is MEAC has the smarter schools. We (the SIAC students) are just defending ourselves. Oh yeah we have more than 5 schools we just named the ones that are worth mentioning
someone did say something about the SWAC...it was in the opening post..... "So...yall may produce a few athletes, but what successful and/or prestigious alum come outta the SWAC ??? And I DARE for somebody out the SWAC to say that they have the better students..." I was just confussed....no beef.....just thought the MEAC was beefing with SWAC...thats all...... 8) Didn't know you guys had more that 5 schools...my bad once again....proceed...my fault

I'm pretty sure there are "smart" people in every conference, and that none are better than any of the others, because it doesn't matter where you go, it matters what you do when you get there... Michael Jordan played on the bulls, but Joe Blow did too and you never hear about him...

I wasn't really counting entertainers/performers. I only included Ernie Barnes because art is creative intellectual expression. BTW, although one may not agree with Louis Farrakhan's teachings, his linguistic and interpersonal intelligence level (David Gardner's Seven Intelligences) is VERY high.
