Here's to name a few:  Medgar Evers (civil rights activist) – Alcorn State University  Barbara Jordan (congresswoman, educator, and constitutionalist) – Texas Southern University  David Banner (rap artist) – Southern University (I heard he was once the SGA president) Rickey Smiley (former ComicView host) – Alabama State University  Art Porter, Sr. (American jazz pianist) - University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff  Jeff Donaldson (American artist) – University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff  There are two track athletes from Alabama A&M who received Olympic medals, but I don’t know their names. (Hey SWAC members, y'all back me up if I left somebody out.) Now that's that for smack talk!
Handclap. but even if one conference has this many famous ppl who are alumni or that many, it really doesnt make a difference to me. Hell, i know dummies at Howard. Im just gonna do what i have to do to be successful, im sorrym just cant worry about what the next female/male is doing, i have to live life for me. But what is really stupid is that ppl can actually generalize what conference has smarter schools like they really know. Its dummies everywhere, most of them are educated.

I recall that too, that school was about to get SHUT DOWN! They were takin donations from everywhere....... Why didnt they just use all that money they make at the Bayou Classic since its so huge
first of all, it wasnt that we needed donations, it was b/c the records were a big mess so it wasnt that easy to just take donations. Grambling had to get the records cleaned up and once we did, in 02, they put us on probation and then in 03, we fully got our accredidation back. it was basically sloppy bookeeping. I heard Howard U's Med program almost lost theirs and i think i heard the same Hamptons Business program about 2 years ago. Many black schools are in and were in the same situation that we were in, luckily, we had a president who worked hard and got us back on our feet. There's even some white schools who lose theirs as well Life University lost theirs in 2002

Then the chick is sayin she dares someone out the SWAC to say we got better students. I'm not b/c i dont know b/c ive never attended each and every hbcu in the SWAC and MEAC. i just know about my own and i can tell u, everyone at Grambling is not a ****. Hell, my sorority sister just made 170 on the Lsats and i know a guy that made a 160. See, if u are serious about your career and want to learn and do places, your going to do so. Our SGA president was one of the smartest students in high school in the U.S. and he applied, got accepted, and even got offers from other schools including prestigious white schools but he chose Grambling
