Aiight here's the scenario:
I... ahem... i mean MY FRIEND has been cool with this one girl since fall semester freshmen year. Ou... THEIR relationship grew fairly quickly and w... THEY ended up being really tight friends on some brother/sister stuff. Lately, he's been coppin feelings (yea yea she got me... um HIM :oops but he's tryin to ignore them for fear of ruining the relationship they have right now. Plus she's on the tip where she says she'll never be in a intimate relationship with her best friend for the same reasons (which I understand). She looks at him like a brother now, and he did look at her as a sister but when certain thoughts popped in his head, figured that was nasty and not a good idea lol... :lol:
Now after all of this is said in done I.. HE's not trying to be up in his room singing HalfCrazy up in his room by himself because ish didn't work out. What are ya'll thoughts on hooking up with a friend and what do you think I... um HE should do... :wink:
Pursue or not to Pursue... that is the question...
Umkay, my "friend" and I went halfcrazy last semester and we too had been cool since freshman yr. Let's just say that it didn't work out the way we planned it to But you live and you learn. All I can say is that if it's meant to be it will surely be. My cousin married her best friend of 14 yrs last summer. He told us the same exact story that you did at their reception. If it really is that serious to you and you feel confident in making it be known, then I say go for it :wink: Let us know what happens
it kinda bothers me when people say there is gonna be awkwardness...
Only thing that makes it awkward is the parties involved. if you go after it and she dont bite...just continue to be on about some nonsense stuff.
For real, i up and sung my swan song to my homegirl my freshman year, she hit the 4F on me (Rejection). BUt after a few days we were back to chucklin and what not. nothing even that serious IMHO.
If i come with my heart and catch 4F then i just take it back up, and continue a freindly relationship.
So if you are feeling awkward i make it my duty to make sure i still act as dumb/goofy/stupid as i used to so you know im not worried about what just went down.

Well.... here is your update....
My feeling only ended up gettin stronger for her and came to a screeching halt when she ended f*cking a friend of mine that she met THROUGH ME and didn't tell me that they were talking. I told her the first time he tried to get at her in the fall it was a bad look... cus he's my homeboy nonetheless i know all of his dirt and how he treats women... i old her just enough for her to know the deal but she didn't listen.
Fast forward to Spring 2005 and she holla'd at him behind my back only to find out that he was in a committed relationship with another woman (who i also know also and call sister lol). She's never been with another man in college (she lost her virginity in HS but he was her first since then). She shoulda listened to a brotha but hey... sh!t happens. Needless to say my feelings are gone. Don't even talk to her anymore to be honest (i know some could say i'm wrong for that but hey... can't stand to be around or talk to her now lol)...
Well my advice on the situation is to be carefull. It is true that some times when friends become something more it works out but sometimes it does not. I have had friends that wanted to be more and because It didn't we did not really stay friends. Sometimes it can work out but some times the place where you use to be gets messed up. All I can say is be careful.
