Meeting People in Church Posted on 02-09-2007

We all know the cliche about finding a man/woman at church - how many of you have experienced it? If so, how did things work out? Was your relationship better than those that started in the secular world? Do people still bring the same issues to the table? Just curious...

Not everyone who goes to church is a saint. There are wolves in sheep's clothing peeping out the scene too. BEWARE! LOL

PRAISE THE LORD!!! That is so true. I just pray that people don't be distracted by the ones who aren't living right. There's always an example of what living for God will do for you. Just practice patience when it comes to dating and realize that if God want you to have someone, he will give that someone to you!!! Otherwise, just continue to work on you and being the best person that you can be!!!

Has anyone dated a preacher at the church? Maybe I should start a new thread on this topic. I might get some interesting replies.

Yeah, some of them have a gut from eating all of that fried chicken at the church! LOL Now I have seen some ministers that are nice looking, and I know those women at the church just go to eye the minister up and down. Women are attracted to ministers and some go after them even if they are married. Essence had an article about women who are attracted to ministers. I guess the attraction comes because ministers are nice and know how to treat women.

Not me! I've never had the desire to date a married man no matter who he is. Essence just wrote an article a while back about women who dated ministers. Things started off with them counseling and one thing led to the next. Now... I don't feel that there is anything wrong with dating a minister if he's single. I don't know where people get the notion that minister's can't date. If they are single, they have much right to date in order to find a wife. Yet, they have to walk a thin line and not date various women within the church that they pastor. I dated a minister once "who was single", but he wasn't my type. For one thing, I like to have a glass of wine or two and I don't want anyone looking at me like I'm sinning. I'm not saying that all ministers think like that, but some are to the extreme where they think people should not even drink a glass of wine. Everyone has their preference and I do want a Christian husband or believer, but I would prefer him not to be a pastor of a church.
