One can give an infinite amount of reasons why African Americans and Hispanics work together to address certain issues that stress their current living. African Americans and Hispanics in the United States should work together as minorities to address political issues to show a fair representation for the two minority groups. The two minority group should work together to be able to select someone who will voice a strong, heard opinion based on what the minorities believe will make a better future from them and later generations. African Americans and Hispanics should work to address cultural issues to help educate in one another’s type of lifestyles. Each group can pick certain ideas from each other’s culture to create a healthier living community for the present and tomorrow. Learning from other cultures helps the other become less ignorant in it but instead more understanding and educated in each other and where the other is coming from. For the African Americans and Hispanics addressing the community issue, the two groups can help create better living communities for the younger generation and the generations yet to come. In addition, the communities can join together to give their children a chance at a successful life in this world. A various amount of efforts can be done to help strengthen the relationships between the African American and Hispanic communities living within the United States. As said before these efforts would be made to help create a better future for the younger generations to create an opportunity for a better life. Small things such as the minority parents doing community services with their kids to keep them active, to learn from each other, and also respect each other as the acts are done each day. With all the negative influences surrounding these communities, the services will give everyone a better sense of morality. Multicultural groups where again the children can learn from one another and can help strengthen up the ties between the two minorities as well as other minority groups. Cultural fairs are another way to also further educate one’s self of the other’s cultural background; to further learn where on came from, where they are now, where they are headed, and how they can go about bettering themselves with the other cultures to live in unity and maybe finally one day to be able to live in peace. There are different possibilities on how Historically Black Colleges and Universities can continue to support the needs of African American students and possibly the needs of the growing Hispanic and Afro-Hispanic population in the United States. The historical colleges and universities should continue to support the needs of the African American students and the growing Hispanic and afro-Hispanic to help open the doors of dreams and future opportunities. Whether it is to be a potential congressional representative, mayor, senator, teacher, firemen, etc it gives a chance to let that one person to give back to their community to another person who may also make a difference to another child who will also one day look up to him or her.
