Thanx for making this thread. I did a lot of research on the school so I can't really think of nothing too much, but I do have one question that's been bothering me. As far as general courses, is it really required that ALL students take 4 semesters of a foreign language???

I took 4 semesters of foreign language but that's only because I missed Pre-Orientation.
Pre-O is when new students have the opportunity to test out of certain classes. Talk to someone in the department of your major and they can give you more info. But last time I checked, you can test out of certain courses if your skill level is high enough.
OK I HAVE ANOUTHER QUESTION LOL...DID U THINK THE MATH PLACEMENT TEST WAS DIFFICULT...I MIGHT TAKE IT 2MRW
Well I was never good at math...in fact, I HATE math so the test was sort of difficult in my opinion.
But if you know your concepts, fractions, formulas and other basics then you will be straight.
If you dont get a scholarship how in the world do you pay 30,000 a year in tuition
Tuition is not $30,000. As a matter of fact, room, board, books AND tuition still does not total $30,000.
But if you are having financial troubles, you should go online and search for scholarships, grants and loans. Also check to see if you qualify for anything that the university might offer.
I have a question....ME and my 2 bestfriends are applying to Howard for 08' and we tryna bunk together and i heard about the tripple rooms is there an option where we can request each other or not??
Hello Everyone from California. I ran across this website today while preparing to enter one of your Essay contests for graduate students dialing or writing for dollars.I am relatively new AA faculty member at California State University East Bay (CSUEB) and General Counselor at Merritt Community College in Oakland California. I am excited to begin the process of heading up one of our African American college programs for young African America males.Dr. Tyrone Bledsoe founded a program called Student African American Brotherhood (SAAB) in 1990. I am learning as much as I can about this program so in the Fall 2007 our community in Oakland can begin a chapter in our area.I am determined to go back to school one more time and complete an EdD in Educational Leadership working with local University and Community Colleges. My doctoral program begins in the Summer of 2008. Wow! After all these years I really believe now God chose me to be an Educator. I was not fully connected to this until I was hired to work at CSUEB March 2006 after I had never taught in College before. Now I am ready after years of having to get up the courage to just "TRY" to go back to school.
