Obama vs Clinton Posted on 04-10-2007

Looking at the growing number of candidates for the Democratic nomination, it is clear to me that the race is really between Obama and Clinton. Everyone else is really shoved to the side. It would take a monumental downfall for these two to not be 1-2 in the running. In this case, it would lead voters to vote for the following for President: 1.) Be led by a woman 2.) Be led by a black man 3.) Vote Republican I still do not think America will want the country to be led by a woman. I do not mean to sound male chauvinistic or anything, but that is what I feel. And let's face it, women had the right to vote waaay before they let any black folk do it, man or woman. And then there's the Republican vote. The last 2 Republican Presidents led us to war, with the more recent one, seemingly not knowing what he is doing. So what will the average Joe (*I mean white America*) do when they have to make that choice? I would be very curious to see what the outcome would be, especially the traditional Democratic voting white male. As for the above mentioned person, I am reminded of a clip from Brewsters Millions when he told the People to vote None Of The Above.

Anyway....... Truth be told, there's a good chance that you aren't "100 percent African-American" yourself. Although many AA's refer to themselves as being all black, whatever that's supposed to mean, most have a mixed heritage. This may include any race be it white, asian, native american, etc. If you trace your history back far enough you'd be surprised to see who's blood you have coursing through your veins. If you decide not to vote for someone I pray that it's for a reason other than their "blackness" or lack there of. If you're going to try to debate whether Obama would make a good leader or not, you could have at least brought up some valid view points or issues
Do you even see my original comment?

Yes, I did read the first comment you left, and it has got to be one of the dumbest statements that I've ever laid my eyes on. Not only do you show your age, but you also show yourself to be a sheltered little kid from Iowa. You're in for one of the biggest culture shocks of your life if you ever leave that place. P.S. Holy s**t. I'm glad you can't vote.

"Sheltered little kid from Iowa"? What do you mean by that? Explain yourself. And just so you know... I lived in Georgia for 2 years and New Jersey for 1 year. And I have seen a "hood" before. Let alone the thugs, hoodrats, and gang-bangers. And, the school I go to is over 60% Black, regardless of if wrether it's a Prep school or not. We're real Black people. So what culture shock am I in for? ... Because I plan to go to Howard University, so please tell. ...Lol, you crack me up. Everybody on this website tickles me. While you're at it, you could also tell me what makes my statement one of the dumbest you've ever laid your eyes on. ...Do tell, and explain.

Wow. That's so uncalled for. Her age and general environment have little to with her comments, since so many voting age African-Americans think the same way. "He's too light...he's half-White...he's not Black enough". I've said it before, if he was any darker, and hailed directly from Africa, he STILL wouldn't have been good enough. We as African-Americans don't really know what we want, for if we did, there would be no discussion on his racial backgrounds or his complexion. Which is funny anyway, seeing as how we are human beings FIRST, and black, white, or any other color for that matter, incidentally...

My comment explains itself. Your inexperience shows itself whenever you post. Apparently, the culture shock that you think I'm referring to has to do with black culture. See... that's that "inexperience" I just told you about. Nowhere did I tell you that you were in for a "black" culture shock. So while the little "affirmation of blackness" was cute and all, you read too much into my post. As far as why I think your comment is dumb... HOLY CRAP... its like you were spawned from a Bill Cosby rant. I think that anything that questions someone's blackness is dumb, stupid, asinine, and any other words you can think of to go there. I'm glad that the people on this website tickle you. You're quite the rib tickler yourself.

Well, I'm glad you're ticklish. ..Because you'll be seeing a lot more of me in these threads. Prepare to laugh 'til you cry, because my opinions aren't changing. Either you can accept them, or get the hell on. I couldn't care less, I'm not losing any sleep. Please believe.
