Help Fill My iPod Posted on 02-19-2008
C Nels

I need musical suggestions for songs to add to my iPod. After adding almost all of my cds and a few movie clips, I have 57GB left to fill. You don't realize how large 80 gigs is until you have to find music to try and fill it all. :o So...give me your playlists! Who knows, maybe you can benefit from other folks' suggestions too!

I don't frequent clubs either... and someone has prolly told you about it, but like I said... you don't pay a-damn-ttention. Regardless... Nels, you need the whole Ledisi album "Lost and Found". You won't want to change the track at all.

I was thinking about buying that cd, but I didn't know anyone with it to get opinions. Thanks.

Aight, so here it goes... some of the rustiest, dustiest grooves that I've come across... "Easin' In" by Edwin Starr (Hell Up In Harlem OST, 1974) "Rigor Mortis" by Cameo (Cardiac Arrest the FIRST Cameo album, 1977) "Brothers on the Side" by Cymande (Cymande, 1973) "Bad Tune" by Earth Wind and Fire (Earth Wind and Fire yup... the FIRST EWF LP!!!, 1971) "I Get Lifted" by George McCrae (Rock Your Baby, 1974) "God Made Me Funky" by the Headhunters (Survival of the Fittest, 1975) "Fat City Strut" by Mandrill (Just Outside of Town, 1973) "Summer in the City" by Quincy Jones (You've Got It Bad Girl, 1973) "I Don't Know What It Is, But It Sure Is Funky" by The Ripple (Ripple, 1973) And that's all I'mma give you right now...

i'd recommend artists like DUFFY (try the song 'mercy') ; REGINA SPEKTOR ('****', 'hotel song') ; POPULAR LOSERS ('ms. forever fly') ; KENNA ('say goodbye to love' ; & my personal crush KID CUDI ('day & night'). what usually attracts me musicwise is good lyrics, closely followed by a great beat. So my choices are usually lyric-forward. check my profile page for all my faves. music is lifee
