Yeah because that's their personal life... so far the only reason people oppose this law is because it's immoral and unnatural so says the bible... whatever happened to seperation of church and state...
I OPPOSE...Now if they send them sodomites 2 their own island then sure do whateva ya'll want. That's my opinion and I don't care who agrees or get offended!
The first thing that I would like to say is no where in the United States Constitution, can you find the separation of CHURCH AND STATE it was a notion came up by THOMAS JEFFERSON.
Are you serious.... nowhere in the constitution.... it's in the first amendment MAN...
Amendment 1 wrote:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof
if that does not seperate curch from state then what does it do... why do you think the government can't give money to private religious based schools to be used on anything nonsecular... maybe b/c it goes against the constitution
amendment 14 wrote:
No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States;
Meaning, what the federal government is prohibited from doing, the states also are prohibited...
its their lives and they have made a commitment to each other so yes they should be afforded the same benefits and even thou many people base their disagreement with this on the bible, a lesson no one seems to remember is that they should not to pass judgment this may not be your particular sin but we are not without it so don’t cast stones. we are all entitled to have our own opinions, but you shouldn’t force it on others.
Maybe they should send all the lairs and the thieves and the murderers and the adulterers and the ungodly, ect etc etc to their own islands...
Everyone has their own cross to bear...
Live your life and stop worrying about the other man...
Besides the Lord says judgement is mine... But I guess I'm one of the few who remembers that rule...
--Damn where's anonymous when you need him...
^^^well i guess i'm one of the few who practices it or something... if you doing your thing anyways why worry about the next nig.. do you... and let them do them...
Wow,
I see now what is happening to our Nation, it is full of people who want to compromise and make folks feel comfortable! It is wrong and DASLIMONE I hate to tell you once again, that there is NO SEPARATION BETWEEN CHURCH AND STATE. The 1st Amendment is stating that the government doesn’t have the right to make a NATIONAL CHURCH OR NATIONAL BELIEF. That it can not advocate a national religion or force folks to become part of a national church or religion i.e. England/Great Britain, before the Separatists. Furthermore it was an atheist Thomas Jefferson that first coined the Phrase.
As Always
The Prince
Daslimone-check your notes on BP
^^^which separates church and state... if the government can't favor any belief in religion or such, then that nixes them from any religious decisions... correct... separation means that one cannot act upon the other...
Secondly, Jefferson was an agnostic, he didn't disbelieve in God, he just questioned, there's a difference...
As far as comfortable... would you call the people who advocated abolition people who just wanted to make people comfortable... what about civil rights activists... or the revolutionaries...
This nation was founded on freedom to live one's life however they so please and in a way that made them comfortable... if you don't like that go to another country...
Slim,
Oh Impressive, I notice that I used the wrong term (atheist) once I wrote it.
Well, this nation was built on the statement on your Dollar Bill, “One Nation under God”
I can see this nation Forefather Flipping in there Graves.
Glory…
I can see this nation Forefather Flipping in there Graves.
As can I since I see that once we attained our freedom and rights, we decided that the freedoms and rights of others were not as important...
A nation of the free indeed...
