Is AGE really nothing but a number? Posted on 12-09-2009

I'll just get to the point, I'm 24 years old and in my freshman year of college, I've noticed a lot of the greeks on campus but haven't expressed any interest to any of them. Still in the research process. I know on one orgs national website it says there is no discrimination against age, but honestly, how would you feel about someone my age trying to join your organization? Should I even bother trying to apply? 0

I'd like to hear from both frat and sorority members, especially the ladies.

i dont feel that there is a discrimination against age, if you meet the requirements then you have a chance of being considered. of course there are some people that are more more older than you that may not be chosen but i personally dont feel 24 is a discriminatory age...go for it, all you can do is try.

How did I miss this one?! But anywho...What up CR!

As for the topic at hand, while I was in school I brought in brothers that were continuing education students, married with families and full-time jobs so age definitely wasn't a factor. I say if you have "your affairs" in order, go for it! Don't let your age stop you.
