Well....my freshman year.....they sent a form for it in the mail and you have to send the form back w/ a money order. You have to reserve them in advance, because if u wait until u get here to try to get one, they may run out.
i didnt sent money with my request... they took the money out of my stipend 1st semester. and that wuz the same with a lot of other people i knew too. i was a little upset too, cuz my parents said they would pay for it, and i get my stipend, and its 110$ short, and cuz my parents never got a bill... they didnt pay for it. needless to say, i wuz a lil angry... but anyways, i guess if u want u can send money too if you like...
I was talkin to one of the RA's in Wheatley when I visited HU in May, and she said to send in the money with request form ASAP to make sure u have one when u get there...........
Do whatever works for you. I can't speak from experience, cuz i had my own fridge. But I have friends who had it charged to their HU account, and it was just sort of added in with the rest of their expenses.
As far as the roomate thing goes, i usually just see one microfridge in a room. But i think u can get two. Not sure how that procedure works. But worse comes to worse, sharing isn't so bad. It's cheaper (becuz u guys can split the cost), plus...having two takes up much more space (which is unnecessary). Just set up guidelines with your roomate RIGHT AWAY and u won't have problems. I didn't have a problem with my roomate using my fridge, but i was sure to let her know right up front "KEEP YA HANDS OFF MY ORANGE JUICE PLAYA :!: ".
