RUSH: Let's stick to the thousand deaths here for just a second. Judy Woodruff, CNN, Inside Politics, this is how she reported the news.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WOODRUFF: You could say the Bush administration has reached a grim milestone. Two more American soldiers were **** in battle in **** today, bringing the total troop death toll in Iraq up to 1,000.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RUSH: The Bush administration has reached a grim milestone? The Bush administration? This is Bush's war? These are Bush's troops? And they get mad at us challenging their Americanism? They want to distinguish themselves and set themselves apart? These are not their soldiers? These soldiers are not fighting for them, too? They're only fighting for Bush?
Here is how Senator Kerry said this. I don't even know where he said it, yesterday, today, somewhere. It's not important where. Here's what he said.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
KERRY: Today marks a tragic milestone in the war in Iraq. More than one thousand of America's sons and daughters have now given their lives on behalf of their country, on behalf of freedom in the war on ****. And I think that the first thing that every American wants to say today is how deeply we each feel the loss.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RUSH: Did I just hear him say that the war on **** is part of Iraq, or that Iraq is part of the war on ****? Could you play that again? I distinctly… "War in Iraq, thousands ****, freedom, war on ****?" Another Kerry flub-up, folks. The campaign staff is going to have problems with this. Iraq is not part of the war on ****. That's in the Democrat playbook. Iraq is distinct, it's separate, it's a renegade war, it's a rogue war; it's Bush and Halliburton's war for Cheney and ****. It has nothing to do with the war on ****. And here Kerry's just screwed that up.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
KERRY: Today marks a tragic milestone in the war in Iraq. More than 1,000 of America's sons and daughters have now given their lives on behalf of their country, on behalf of freedom in the war on ****. And I think that the first thing that every American wants to say today is how deeply we each feel the loss.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RUSH: And the second thing Americans want to say today is, "Why are you running for president?" But he just did, he just equated Iraq with the war on ****. You heard it right here on the EIB Network.
