I will NEVA EVA, EVA EVA, EVA EVA GO NATURAL....lol...Sorry, but I REFUSE to have to deal with and comb thru coarse and unmanagable hair. Even tho some girls have very nice looking natural hair, I dont see myself being one of them, cause when I take out some braids I had in my hair for like 2 months, I be having them SERIOUS n*gga naps, I break combs trying to tame that hair ( okay Im exaggerating, but you get my point  )...lol, but yea...back to the question...The only perms I use are Botanicals...Specifically Soft and Beautiful Botanicals...if for some reason I cant find that one in the store then I can use the TCB one...but 99% of the time it is always Soft and Beautiful Botanicals.

*cough*.....errrrrr ok its not "coarse and unmanageable" if you take care of it....believe me when i had perms i used 2 super perms and it still would be an afro, so you know nothing about what you call **** HAIR aight...i like to refer to it as naptural because **** hair is just so "80s".... ..nevermind.......but megan i dont think you should be offended by afropoetiq's post, i think you read into a bit too hard...... i mean scientifically putting acid found in drano and nair on your head isnt safe and has been proven by the FDA so technically she is a tad right, but i mean nevermind...not gonna start controversy    ....thats just my opinion, not hating on relaxers at all, i dont see relaxers as anything about being black or not i just see it as a SAFETY concern......but yeah a hairstyle doesnt determine your blackness, wherever that came from.....

^I'm sure you heard of some people's opinions being that if Black women get relaxers, they're not appreciating their "Blackness"; come on now. Just like women on here were stating their love for their natural hair and being Black, I was just stating my content for my relaxed hair and being Black.

so you know nothing about what you call N*gga HAIR aight...i like to refer to it as naptural because N*gga hair is just so "80s"....

If drano and nair is what is keeping my hair straight...SO BE IT :!: :!: :!: but seriously, black women have been using relaxers for years, and i never heard of people dying or becoming sick or anything from using relaxers....but I guess everyone has heard sumthing different.

I usually use Soft and Beautiful, Optimum, or gentle treatment, Optimum in my opinion works best but if your on a budget gentle treatment gets the job done. 8)

pulling strand of j's hair...NEGRO, if you can actually hotcomb your hair straight you know nan about **** naps...now hush cause damnit youre lucky   ...talking bout some damn **** naps*heifa if i had my prom pic, with the afro and i had a relaxer THAT very day, plus professional blow drying and hot combing and the ish still didnt lay down :? ....YOURE SO LUCKy...**** naps indeed!....craaaaazinnneessssssss.....i wish i had your so called "**** naps" :? ....dont make me cut your hair and make weave for my hair...girrrrrrlll p.s--nah people dont die from it, of course, but the fda and other foundations are just now looking into the possible hazards of it, and i remember a study back in the day about a link towards black girls getting early puberty (these kids gettiing too grown )and like relaxers and other health risks like stroke, and inbalances in cholesterol among black women...that was a few years back in my newspaper....but i cant find the story so disregard that statement !!!cause i dont have the story to back it up ya know  ....buttttt from southern digest: 'Your hair is not the only thing that may become damaged. Chemicals that contact the scalp may seep into the bloodstream and cause damage unbeknownst to consumers. A research team from the Boston University School of Public Health in Massachusetts is currently investigating the health hazards associated with exposure to chemicals found in relaxers. Additionally, the American Public Health Association has documented health effects based on previous toxicological studies including burns, irritation to mucus membranes, dermatitis, coughing and airway irritation." *seperate note when i did this for my science project* reason these studies wasnt done earlier because the relaxer companies basically told the FDA and other orgs, the concentration of their active ingredients was safe but other orgs decided to do seperate studies anyways due to increasing health complaints.....but since 88%-90% of relaxer companies are white owned and operated including most black relaxers....welp im gonna be positive these companies are protecting our black women, hopefully, unlike RIO perm WAIT DONT GET THE WRONG IDEA FROM THIS, i offend so many people nowadays and im hardly ever on here, lol, but yeah naptural and relaxed hair is great...believe me i used to be relaxed even though i didnt straighen my hair.....but I do hope if they find these products to be hazardous i hope alot of women arent too hooked to keep using them and try to pool together their resources to invent a SAFER straightening product instead...
