The Ghetto Posted on 12-02-2004

Where did you grow up? Suburbs, ghetto, or a rural area (otherwise known as the "kuntry")? I grew in Huntsville Alabama, but Athens Alabama & Louisville KY are my other 2 places i'll always have a place to lay my head. H-ville has about 200,000 folks in the city and about 400,000 in the county. I spent a lotta time out in Limestone County (country) with my auntie. Louisville has about a million in the metro area. I got a mixture of places where I grew up, but I'm a country boy at heart. Where did you grow up?

I've always lived in rural Middle GA, until now; straight in the middle of the ghetto. I miss my house in the country.

For a minute I stayed in the Burbs in Roswell, Ga with my aunt thats when at my elem. school i was one of like 5 black people in the whole school. Then I moved to Union City and that was the not the burbs and not the ghetto and then I moved to the SWATS ~ for yall who don't know thats Southwest Atlanta and I guess you can call it the inner city its not the ghetto but down the street one way is the ghetto and the other is the burbs so again I am smack dab in the middle

I born in a black neighborhood if you wanna call it ghetto. Yea it was ghetto we had a peeping tom. I lived there until I was five. Then we moved to a rural white neighborhood where we still live.

born in East Oakland (ghetto) moved to LA (ghetto) lived in a couple of east bay spots (in between ghetto and just plain city) back to oakland (ghetto) now live in yet another east bay city (it's not really burby til you get to the hills...and i definitely don't live in the hills...so i'm not sure what to call it) oakland is where my heart is. like Ms. Megan said, growing up where i grew up has made me stronger and more grateful.

uh oh...i heard dat! WESTSIDE!!! I guess u can say both. Inglewood can kinda be considered a "ghetto suburbia" so to speak  . Rent "The Wood" and you'll get a lil taste  . If ya hear peeps talk about Crenshaw Blvd or "the shaw"...well yeah...my ghetto behind actually LIVES on the street...just check my mail  However, most of the time growing up i was being taken care of by my aunt and cousins and they live deep in South Central LA. So lets just say i've heard my share of gun shots, helicoptors, and police sirens. So i may come off sweet and innocent...but don't test ma gangsta
