Since Howard and Hampton prospects seem to make a new thread every week regarding their prospective schools, this is the official thread for all business involving the two HUs. This is not a thread to argue over which is "the REAL HU," but rather a place for yall to brag about your acceptance letters, ask questions about the school, and talk to people who go there. Instead of making another is-it-hard-to-get-to-howard-what-goes-down-at-hampton-why-is-the-ocean-blue post. !HAPPY POSTING! (i myself applied to one of those schools by the way....)

Hey, to the girl who is considering majoring in English at Howard. I'm an English major at Howard. The English Department here is good, though kinda redundant. Luckily, the good thing about attending school in DC is the fact that you can take classes at Georgetown, George Washington, U Maryland and any other school in the area- for free. Its definitely a perk that you won't find at many other HBCUs. So if you're not satisfied with the picking at Howard, you can take a class on Harlem Renaissance Literature at Georgetown or a class on writing a screenplay at GWU. Anything that tickles your fancy. The African-Am studies department at Howard is off the chain. Dr. Carr is a Howard legend, he is the best teacher you will ever have point blank. Any other questions, feel free to PM me

I have a question. Nobody has said anything about the availability of wireless internet. Is it available and if so do I have to buy the card and necessary hardware?
