I heard:
 It's in a boring **** city
 Gotta take the bus or catch a cab if you wanna go somewhere
 Curfew  .....we're ADULTS
 They monitor your phone calls and what you do online, plus you can't download music
 I honestly thought it was a ripoff of howard because I heard of it after I found out about the REAL hu
 NO COED visitation
I've got nothin against the school tho, I have a few friends that go there
To be honest, Howard and Hampton were the only HBCUs i were really interested in. Applied to both, got in to both, both offered me nothin but a fat loan. Just so happened that Hampton was more expensive than Howard...therefore the loan was bigger...hence more for me to have to pay back later. So i figured if me and my momma were gonna go broke, might as well do it offer a school that gave me a bigger **** for my buck. Plus, i'm nothin but a city girl at heart. HU had the whole package.
i never even picked up an application, it just was not an option. i was sold on HU from the beginning. i see howard influence everywhere i go, hampton? no.
Is it just me or when you tell people that you go to Howard they act like you said Harvard? (that is so funny to me)...
Anyway, I chose Howard over Hampton because I get the best of both worlds. An education at a prestigious HBCU and its in the city with a public transportation so I can go somewhere without a car so I get a great social life. Even though I'm going broke by going to Howard. It's ok because I'm sure it will be worth it.
