The AKA's are 'unoffically' the Alphas sisters, the Delta's are 'unoffically' the Ques sisters. Both organizations have famous allumni such as Felicia Rashad and Halle Berry(even though shes a skater).Out here (in Southern Cali) the deltas hold it down ,but thats only based on the fact that their are way more new deltas than AKA's.Because I saw a tape of some AKA's stepping in Arizona last month and they bailed. And about KKI's (Kappa sweethearts) they are usually just regular girls, but some K-sweets have been known to be zeta, aka's,delta's,and sgrho's.

Actually in my opinion from the step shows i been to.(Which is 5). So don't get mad at this. The AKA'S seem to step with class and like ladies where as the Delta's do the QUE steps. One step show the Delta's came out first and did some Que steps, then the Que's came out and did the same steps. And u could tell that was not planned because when the Delta's did them the Que's weren't yellin and had dumb founded looks on there face. That's All.

 Does it really matter. I am a Lovely Lady of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and it's the person that makes the organization not the oraganization that makes the person. If you go to different places different organizations run the Yards. At JSU it the Zetas and the Sigmas. I have no problems with Deltas or AKAs, I have friends in both organizations. Please remember that one bad apple can make the rest look rotten, I've seen this myself this year in March. We need to be about Greek Unification, not Greek Disorientation. :!:

I am not affilated with any Greek organization but I can say the following based on what I learned growing up around ladies from both organizations. There are wonderful things about each organization and if you really want to know about them the best things I could suggest for you, besides going online, is to ask and adult. If you are thinking about pledging any Greek organization then talking to an ADULT who is either in a grad chapter or even someone who is inactive will help you. These women have been in the organization for a while and might not posess some of the same feeling as a younger member of the organization. They can provide helpful insight on why they choose the organization and might provide some inside information about Greek like. One thing I can say is that all of the women I know who are Greek are very involved with their communities. All of them do countless hours of community service including mentoring, Christmas in April, scholarship fundraisers, have debutant, deltines, leadership workshops, and are political advocates. One of my mother's best friends is an AKA and she is always working on a project with her organization, my neighbors who are Deltas are constantly working to make the schools better in our area. When most people who are not in Greek organizations look at them they only think of stepping or the parties. These individuals lead full lives and and are constantly working to help others. I am not sure how white greek life is but as far as black Greeks are concerned it is often a lifelong dedication. I hope I was helpful.

This is a question that has been asked since the founding of the organizations. Speaking from a DST perspective, there are some fudamental differences on the tenaments of both organizations. As a Delta, I don't hate or dis-like any greek organization, because there is a sole reason that ties all nine greeks, and it is love for our African American community. Yes we have chants about the AKAs and they have chants about us, but it is all in fun. Let us not forget that there are 2 other wonderful Black Greek Sororities_ Z phi B and .

I'm not in a sorority as of now, but I do have opinions. This is just my opinion so respect it or check it. At my school, the almighty Prairie View A&M University, the Deltas are the shhh.... They carry themselves with class, grace, and are down to earth (the ones I know anyway). There are more Deltas than AKAs on the yard. I think the attitides and personalities of each sorority depends on the campus. At PV, the Deltas are it and on other yards AKAs are it. No matter who is more dominant, no one is ever better than anyone else. That mentality needs to go away.
