listen to those who KNOW what they are talking about. Like mentioned before by Crazy4DST,looking from the outside in, not KNOWING and RESEARCHING the history before making stupid comments makes you look well...stupid... and it is visible that you do not posses the :evil: maturity :evil: it takes to become part of these divine black greek letter orginizations. If you really want to know, instead of posting on a half empty notion, research. There are PLENTY of books out there for those who want to know. I wanted to know, badly, so I picked up two very good books
The Divine Nine by Lawrence C., Jr. Ross
This explores the history of the nine BGLOs. You can get it all in one very infomative book.
If you want to know the difference (not :x BEEF... there is no such thing) between Delta Sigma Theta and Alpha Kappa Alpha you can check out the book by Paula Giddings In Search of Sistehood or visit www.aka1908.com.

I don't think that it is right to call someone's post ignorant. Including myself, not everyone who comes on this website is a college student yet. And, moreover, one of the reasons for forums such as this one is for people to ask for, give, and recieve information. Don't make us feel dumb for not knowing something that we are interested in knowing. Rather, you should congratulate us for asking (seeking knowlege- because that's what HBCU's are all about) instead making hasty rationalizations about things that we know nothing about. I have seen other people refer to posts as "ignorant," and it is wrong....... So, just remember that we are your little brothers and sisters. And we love you all. THERE ARE NO STUPID QUESTIONS!! :lol:
