Okay, this may sound like a dumb question but what is the difference between AKA's and Delta's? Why is it that everyone making them seem like they can't stand one another or is it true? Just something I've been wondering for awhile.
Hey Kashae, I can tell you the only difference between us are the years we were founded and our colors. That's it. We are both greek orgs for women of color and we both do plenty of service and good deeds to our communities. I have several DST sister-friends, my best friend is DST. We just sit back and laugh at the "competitions" people try to stir up. I think it is silly. We are supposed to be sister orgs but I cannot sit here and lie to you and say a rivalry hasn't been stirred up amongst us. *smh* BTW-I see you are from SC, I go to Benedict and all the Greeks get along

First and foremost: ooooooooooooooooooooooooo-oop! Greetings to all my lovely ladies of DST. Now that that is out of the way. Of course my first and only love is Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated but i do have love for some aka's. As long as your giving service to the community I believe that you too are great.

the sweethearts of any frat or sorority is in an organization of their own since 1990...and i dont have a preference between the AKA or DST... BECAUSE ON DIFFERENT CAMPUSES ONE MAY BE WELL REPRESENTED THAN THE OTHER.. BOTH ORGANIZATIONS IN GENERAL ARE NICE ORGANIZATIONS AND WHOEVER IS IN OR WANT TO BE IN THOSE ORGANIZATIONS SHOULD BE PROUD TO CARRY ON WHAT THOSE WOMEN TRULY REPRESENT NOT BEING PRETTIER THAN THE OTHER

Please do not build a stereotype of sororities based on experiences at one school. That does not represent the sorority on the whole, and it shows the ignorance of the person who expresses this misconception of the sorority.
