I was browsing HBCU sites and came across Morgan State. Is Morgan State a good school education wise? Help me out give me some of you all views on Morgan State.
I think Morgan State is a good choice (since I'm going there in the fall), but it depends on you and what you want to study. There are some schools that are known for having excellent programs in a specific field, and I chose MSU because they have a great Computer and Engineering technology program. I liked the city of Baltimore (good social scene) and the atmosphere of the campus, which had a lot to do with my decision. The students and administration were friendly and they offer a lot of help as far as the transition from high school to college life. The only advice I can give you is to prioritize! Think about what it is that you would like to see in a college/university and then research and schedule a campus visit to find out if Morgan State (and other schools) fit what you want. For example, I was looking for a somewhat larger school located in an urban area with a great Computer Technology program. I also wanted to attend a school with access to internships, but at the same time I wanted to go to a school that took pride in academics and had a lot to offer students on campus as well. Morgan State happened to fit all of that in my eyes. But good luck to you and I hope you find the RIGHT school for you. If you have any questions, hit me up. Holla!
Morgan State is a wounderful school. It's in the city so you can get around easily. And the people are friendly. They have numerous majors to choose from, and alot of administrators to help you make that college transition.
I hear Morgan is a good school, but I heard their campus wasn't that great looking....BUT HEY I COULD BE WRONG...so please no one going to Morgan bite my head off. The key word I said was * heard *[/u
] Academically though Morgan is a good school, and if you are interested in it go see it for yourself and talk to some students who already go there.
Morgan is great school to me, but thats just my opinion i choose morgan over other colleges ( bcc and morehouse) because it is located in Baltimore #7 on the B.E'.s top 10 cities for African- Amercians. The holds lots of fortune 500 companies where i could get a internship. And on top of that it is 40 miles from another major city Washington D.C. and it tution is not expensive compared to some of the private HBCU'S
Morgan is a good school for me also because it has the perfect atmosphere for a good learning enviornment and good place to make friends. People down there are so nice and friendly
Hey I think Morgan is a very good school. I too will be attending Morgan in the fall. Morgan State is very good educational wise. its a little under rated... The campus is nice, they've been building new stuff a lot. Its not too big or too small. The thing i like most about Morgan it that is has a very big family feeling to it, the people up there really care about you and your education. That's kind of a big thing when you're far away from home like me. So in other words i think you should really consider Morgan as a pick.
i've visited morgan before, and i liked it a lot. the campus is aight. i mean, i didn't get a chance to see all of it cause most of the students and staff were on spring break. but it still seems like a great school.
