Which Dorm is the best? Posted on 05-18-2005

Dannie05
Carson, CA
I've just received my Housing papers in the mail today and I'm not sure which dorm I should choose or put preference on. When I visited Howard I never got a chance to see the dorms so I don't know which one is the best for undergrad. For example, which dorm complex has the best showers or biggest rooms and so on.

Even tho the Annex is more "upscale" and all. You'd prolly still wanna be in the Quad because you can get real close with the rest of the freshman girls in the Quad. And the Annex isn't only freshman. I know if I were you I'd hit the Quad up cuz being tight wit the rest of the freshman is important to me

I will be in the annex and I wouldn't trade it for the Quad, because even though you may not be in the quad that doesn't mean that you won't have a sisterhood or you'll be a loner. Hey I'll be there 8) . Anyways, the way I see it if you want to be sociable, you can do that regardless of where you live.

I just checked yesterday and they assigned me to Crandall Hall. What's up with that one. And why is the Annex so great?

The Annex is situated into suites with singles and doubles and the entire dorm has AC. The rooms are a little more spacious to me and there is a bathroom and common area in each suite. Plus, the caf is right down stairs. I just liked the atmosphere at the Annex.

Yeah I see what you're saying. If you wanna be sociable, you can be sociable. It just ain't the same as living with those people tho. You even gotta leave by 2 AM, and if they ain't got visitation in the Quad(which does happen at times lol), then you can't even be up in there at all. And plus the cafe in the Annex isn't the main cafe up Howard. So a lot of people that live in the Annex don't even go to that one even tho it's in the same building, they go to the main one in Blackburn so they can talk to their friends.

So are the rooms with the triples way too cramped? especially in Crandall?
