Which Dorm is the best? Posted on 05-18-2005

I've just received my Housing papers in the mail today and I'm not sure which dorm I should choose or put preference on. When I visited Howard I never got a chance to see the dorms so I don't know which one is the best for undergrad. For example, which dorm complex has the best showers or biggest rooms and so on.

I will be in the annex and I wouldn't trade it for the Quad, because even though you may not be in the quad that doesn't mean that you won't have a sisterhood or you'll be a loner. Hey I'll be there 8) . Anyways, the way I see it if you want to be sociable, you can do that regardless of where you live.
This is true. You will meet people regardless but its harder in Annex. Mix and minglr a lot in the beginning before cliques get started in Annex cause its much harder to mingle with freshman girls especially after the upperclassmen return. TIP: Talk to the people in the long lines in the beginning they have freshman standing in because you can met a lot of people there cause everybody be like damn I tired then the next person be like I know girl they ghetto, whats your name? (Awww flashback) LOL Throwback Annex Girl

I just checked yesterday and they assigned me to Crandall Hall. What's up with that one. And why is the Annex so great?
Girl don't worry. I stayed in the Annex last year and honestly wished I lived in the Quad. I didn't like annex that much because in the quad you HAVE to socialize, because you and the girls are so damn close. But in the Annex everybody gets a crew the first few weeks and just does their thing. In the quad they roll DEEP (LOL). Don't get me wrong Annex is nice but you will LOVE the quad too. At the end of the day its about the person and what you make out of the time in whatever hall you stay in. The worst thing about the quad is the heat cause DAMN and sometimes its TOO loud but other than that its not as bad as people make it out to be. See Annex Girls can be nice

I don't know why and I don't know how, but my dorm assignment changed a while back and now I'm in the Annex. This time it is official, I think.

I heard all upperclassmen will have 24-hour visitation next year. Does anyone know if this is true?
...that would be a stretch

I don't buy the hype...esp after that girl jumped out the window and **** her self in the towers, after she snuck in when there was no visitation...now her family wants to **** Howard. If anything that incident will make them have a tighter visitation policy.
