Ok I have come to realize that us greeks tend to get stressed out over some of the things that prospects may do or say…simply because they do not know proper protocol. So this thread is for all the greeks to list things that ALL ASPERANTS SHOULD KNOW in terms of proper behavior. (Lets try to keep it simple)
I will begin:
1) Do not go to an interest meeting for more than one org…do your research until you know which one is best for you.
2) If you only want to be greek for the following reasons…then this isn’t for you:
A.Want to join because you like to step
B.Want to get more girls/guys
C.Want to become popular/accepted
3) Do not wear and org’s colors to an interest meeting
4) Do not throw up greek hand signs or do the calls
5) Do not go around telling people what org you are a prospect of.
6) Stay away from the words “ I’m gonna be a ________” or “I’m a future________”
7) Do not cut through party walks or brake lines.
'Tis all for now…

Do you mean an interest meeting held in the spring or an interest meeting for intake in the spring? I'm going to presume that you mean the former.
If that is the case, you may have to wait until your 3rd year, because the organization may only have 1 intake per year. What I would have done was explain my situation back in the spring to one of the members in the organization BEFORE the meeting. But since you didn't, I'd try to get in contact with one of the members before school starts or at the very beginning of the semester and explain your situation. You may still have a chance.
Interest meeting and Intake meeting are two different things, not to be used interchangeably.
Interest meeting is for those who have interest in joining an organization.
Intake meeting is for those interests that will be partaking in the intake process.
Not everybody who attends the interest meeting will attend an intake meeting.
OH!! Thanx for clearing that up it was the interest meeting. Quick question would you consider writing an e-mail to one of the members of the chapter or wait untill the beginning of fall semester? I am not really friends with members of organization and dont feel comfotable with flatout asking, but i honestly want to take part. I have friends that attended the meeting and was thinking of kinda working though them. is that an option?
