Well that's where you add your personal touch to it! Recipes are like empty houses. It's up to us to add the extras to make it hot! I'm sure your cakes will be tasty , be sure to let us know how they turn out!

But the recipe doesn't mention sugar. What if they don't come out right?

I think Thanksgiving food is on everybody's minds, I was looking up "corn" recipes this morning. But here you go, from cooks.com... OLD FASHIONED JOHNNY CAKES 1 egg 2 c. white or yellow cornmeal 1 tsp. salt 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 c. milk Beat 1 egg. Stir in 2 cups white or yellow corn meal, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups milk (to make batter thick). Drop spoonfuls of batter onto a well-greased hot griddle and fry to a golden brown on each side. Stir batter occasionally to keep well mixed. Serve hot with butter. Makes 12 Johnny cakes.
Bahamian Food but we use flour not cornmeal

So what's up with the sugar? Bahamians don't use sugar in their recipe either? Inquiring minds want to know.
