Whats your opinion on this? some greeks that are paper get more respect than some of these Aux, members that pledged hard to get to where they are. Do you think they should be greek first, then become a sweetheart, dove, etc? And What are the stereotypes of the members of these organizations?
NPHC Aux Pairings

Alpha Kappa Alpha - MIAKA
Omega Psi Phi - Omega PEARLs, Essence, Sweethearts, and Gems
Kappa Alpha Psi - Kappa Sweethearts, Krimson Kourt Inc, Diamonds, Krystals, Kittens, Pretty Girls Inc.
Delta Sigma Theta - Delta Gents, Beaux
Phi Beta Sigma - Sigma Sweethearts, Doves, Souls, Carnations, Silhouettes, Loves, Stars
Zeta Phi Beta - Zeta Knights, Cavaliers
Sigma Gamma Rho - They had Sigma Rhomeos. The Sigma Rhomeos now stand on their own as an Incorporated body independent of SGRho.
Iota Phi Theta - Sweethearts
Bruh, you forgot to mention that only Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. legally recognizes their sweethearts. According to NPHC and all the other D9 Fraternities and Sororities, auxilaries are illegal or not recognized.
I'll just say one thing on the subject and then step out
On some campuses you will see aux organizations
In my area there are Omega Pearls, Sweethearts, Gems, Essences and such at Bowie State, UMBC, Morgan State, Coppin State, and other schools.
Also I know at Coppin State there are Sigma Doves, Kappa Sweethearts, and Iota Sweethearts. And I know some of the sororities use to have their aux organizations because a couple Que's I know use to be part of them before they partook in the intake process to be an Omega.
All I am saying is that some schools recognize them and some dont but everyone who is arguing on here about this is acting real childish because you are just saying things from your standpoint or from what you have seen. Things arent the same all around the country so just speak for yourself.
**steps out**
Bottom line, some aux orgs represents a bond of brother/sista hood in some type way so regardless of the process they still represent as a unit and that's what matter period. No they don't deserve the same respect as a greek org but I do believe they serve the same purpose as one.
Myself being non-greek, I was approached once about being a Kappa Sweetheart. I quickly turned them down mainly because I knew what my duties would be once I got on the other side. And I was not interested in cleaning a house that I did not stay in and running behind a group a men like a minuend. Plus, these ladies that are apart of these groups today do not get any type of respect that they did some odd number of years ago. Auxillary groups were totally different back in the day when the group was actually separate from the organization as far as the intake process is concerned. It really is just the ones that I have encountered personally did nothing but party. They weren't trying to better the community, or volunteer, or use their name for a good cause. And I would want to be apart of something more than just a little sister organization, if in fact I do choose to go greek. Bottomline, if I was going to go through a month and a half of pledging, I will definitely be doing it for three letters instead of a letter and a heart. However, I am not knocking those who are apart of these organizations. I'm simply just saying it's not for me.
well i thought that Delta Sigma Theta did have Delta Gents back in the day.....because on DSU and MSU there is an org called Gentleman of Quality...and on their site they said they branched of from being Delta gents to become their own org...u can check out their website...its www.gent.ca.tf
