DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Provides translation and administrative support to SVP, Product Development & Publishing and supports the activities of the department as a whole with regard to project preparation and administration.
Works closely with the Executive on highly confidential matters that may include interacting with senior corporate executives and local, national and international officials.
Screens telephone calls and handles or re-routes as appropriate (independently handles a significant number of inquiries).
Coordinates calendar for the Executive and department management.
Prepares correspondence and reports in Japanese and English as needed.
Translates confidential e-mail and other written documentation from Japanese to English, and English to Japanese as needed.
Interprets in-person and video conference meetings as needed.
Schedules internal and external meetings, including international conference calls and video conferences.
Coordinates and prepares various arrangements such as travel, budgets, expense reporting and department supplies ordering.
Share and manage the group companies’ marketing support data internally.
Handles special projects on behalf of the Executive as assigned.
Exercise judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Up to 10% domestic and international travel
Qualifications & Requirements
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
Five or more years of experience as an Executive Assistant or equivalent.
Native level written and verbal fluency in English and Japanese
Presentation skills in English and Japanese
Demonstrated understanding and experience with US and Japanese business culture
Interest in and/or knowledge of Nintendo products
Ability to consistently produce accurate work under fluctuating schedules and priorities
Demonstrated experience providing professional level translation/interpretation support in a business environment
Proficient in Outlook calendaring, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint in English and Japanese. Familiarity in Visio.
Professional work experience in the US and Japan preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
Professional training in Translation/Interpretation or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Professional certification as a Japanese/English translator a plus.
