Sr. Product Manager - powerstations
The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for defining mophie’s powerstations product roadmap and financial targets and will manage the cradle-to-grave business and product life cycles of mophie’s powerstations category. This role offers hands-on responsibility for creating, bringing to market, and managing the life cycle of the products that meet the quality, financial and ROI targets established for them. The Sr. PM will champion a matrixed group through the life cycle process that includes sales, marketing, operations and development teams.
Identify, define the product strategy and roadmap through solid Phase 0 work
Research and analyze market conditions which includes field work.
Direct and manage product lifecycles from phase 0 to end of life.
Identify key competitor and consumer trends; be the company expert with regards to competition
Articulate market requirements and opportunities. Define Product positioning, target consumers, and key benefits.
Serve as the internal and external evangelist for product category
Takes the role of the product category expert
Analyze, draft and submit preliminary product budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
Interface and build strategies with Sales Management throughout all phases of product life cycle to ensure quality product introductions and achieving financial targets for the category
Identify opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Define product requirements, Deliver PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
Develop full-scale product plans and associated communications documents
Work with the marketing communication team to define go-to market strategy, helping them understand product positioning, key benefits and target customer
Lead cross-functional project team from product concept through final product definition
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
Track project milestones and deliverables
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
Make presentations or pitches to sales customers as the mophie category representative
Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise direct reports (APMs) as assigned
Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
Perform other duties as assigned
Must be technically competent with MS Office software

Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and flexible during times of change
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including communication with team members, the executive team and other internal and external stakeholders
Ability to read and react to different audiences, and adjust communication style effectively
Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
Must be able to understand a P&L and balance sheet.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in the field of Business/Marketing or Engineering
8-10 years of direct work experience in product management for consumer products required, consumer electronics a plus
Experience developing products for iPhone and other iOS devices a plus.
Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings
Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with channel partners retail accounts, or off-site personnel/management
Up to 20% travel may be required
