The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Problem Validation, Program Coordinator.

The IDEA Center is the University of Notre Dame's collaborative innovation hub dedicated to expanding the technological and societal impact of the University's innovations. We do this by nurturing and facilitating the movement of the best ideas of faculty, staff, and students from discovery to commercial application.
The Problem validation manager will be providing constant supervision and management of all technologies in the 4 cylinders.

  • Directing research on a weekly basis, while managing up to 20 under-graduate and grad students.

  • Meeting with inventors consistently/weekly to update them on the progress of research.

  • Select and allocate correct students to specific projects according to their experience

  • Conducting daily/weekly meetings with students

  • Compiling validation reports weekly for each technology

  • Monitoring and approving student's hours, while also creating detailed reports on their hours worked and money spent on each tech, weekly.

  • Responsible for compiling new product development and launch in the Life Sciences (health technology therapeutics, etc)

  • Creating detail final tech report before internal transition of technology

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and creatively to find non-obvious solutions to complicated problems.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Masters degree or Bachelors degree (5 years) or advanced certification beyond Bachelors. Experience in Microsoft Office
