Job Description

Boston College Campus Recreation is currently accepting applications for a Faculty and Staff Fitness and Wellness Coordinator. The Faculty and Staff Fitness and Wellness Coordinator will report to the Assistant Director for Fitness and Wellness for Campus Recreation. This is a part-time position and is benefits eligible.

The Faculty and Staff Fitness and Wellness Coordinator position is the connector between Human Resources and Campus Recreation. The Coordinator will develop, organize, and coordinate recreation and fitness-related programs with Human Resources for faculty and staff throughout the year in various facilities across the the campus.

The Faculty and Staff Fitness and Wellness Coordinator duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinating, staffing, and teaching weekly campus yoga programs
Coordinating, staffing, and teaching weekly campus fitness programs
Coordinating road races and registrations
Collaborating on meditation programs with Faculty/Staff Assistance Program
Leading faculty and staff tours and orientations of Campus Recreation facilities

Administrative duties include:
Managing all program registrations
Hiring, training, and evaluating staff
Reserving spaces across campus for programs and preparing rooms as needed
Providing data driven programs through research, surveys, and participation tracking
Managing billing between Campus Recreation and Human Resources
Submitting payroll for staff
Serving as primary point of contact in Campus Recreation for Human Resources collaborations, including Healthy You, the Staff Wellness Group, the Faculty/Staff Assistance Program, and the Faculty and Staff Health Fair
Serving as primary point of contact for faculty and staff seeking consultation on Campus Recreation programs
Serving on the Health You Advisory board
Assisting with mind/body and fitness Campus Recreation staffing and programs as part of the Campus Recreation fitness team

Salary in a FT basis is $37,000-46,500Requirements

A Bachelor's degree, preferably in a health/wellness related field is required.
A minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience.
A minimum of 5 years teaching programs related to yoga or other wellness offerings.
A 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification.
Worksite Wellness Certification or comparable experience.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Ability to thrive in a diverse service environment.
The flexibility to work early mornings, nights and some weekends.
Must have strong interpersonal, written, computer, and diplomacy skills and must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
Expected to assist in coordinating/ running/ participating in department events.
