Job Description

The intern will support the ACC broadcast team in pursuing its goals of maintaining and
creating high level productions. Primarily a supportive role, this position will assist in the
implementation of the department's vision in regards to video and graphic representation. Responsibilities include assisting in the operation of the broadcast control rooms during athletic events, maintaining a digital video and audio asset library, assisting in the execution of video projects and initiatives, assisting in providing video and audio content to meet internal and external requests, assisting in providing any additional video services as needed for broadcast and other events in Alumni Stadium and Conte Forum.

The intern will assist the department in game day control room operation, video content creation, equipment maintenance, moving of equipment, and light filming duties. The individual will also edit film, create basic graphics, and support broadcasts during events. Technical responsibilities include basic camera work (HD), basic editing work, and basic equipment troubleshooting.

Hiring Rate: $11.50 per hourRequirements

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred

At least 2 years of experience/undergraduate involvement in intercollegiate athletics is required, preferably at a NCAA Division I institution.

A strong desire to pursue a career in the field of sports management and/or athletic administration is preferred

Ability to take direction

Time and Resource Management

Ability to work nights and weekends
6 months + Adobe Premiere Video Editing Experience
6 months + Athletic Video Camera Work Experience
6 months + Adobe Photoshop and After Effects Experience
Experience in a video control room (preferred)
Digital Asset Metadata tagging
Familiarity with servers (sonnet especially)
Some prior knowledge of archiving
Willingness to learn control room systems including Ross
Carbonite switcher Y Xpression
HD filming on a variety of cameras
Graphic Creation
Experience with After Effects and Photoshop
Documentation Skills
Troubleshooting Skills
Ability to foster and maintain working relationships
with other departments in the University and community

This position will be expected to perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules

Work Conditions/Demands

* Evening and weekend work may be required.
These demands are primarily centered on athletic competitions.

* Holidays and early morning hours are
frequently required for various athletic competitions and operational set up of
athletic and other events.

* Ability to maintain a flexible schedule is
required.

* The primary working conditions include both an
indoor office setting and outdoor event locations. Some medium lifting will be
required for event preparation and set up. In most cases, events will occur
regardless of weather so exposure to elements is likely.
