Job Description
Maintenance Supervisor
Technically knowledgeable on the requirements of the structural maintenance and repair areas of the facility recommending solutions to technical engineering questions.
Adjusts staff and resources to correct items out of compliance with code requirements.
Develops work standards and reviews completed tasks to assure standards are met. Responsible for the planning of work assignments on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Redirects staff to meet the priorities that arise from patient and staff requirements.
Provides higher level supervisors and management input on long-range budget requirements. Establishes and administers leave for the technicians under their supervision.
Develops and reviews performance standards.
Conducts performance appraisals.
Reviews personnel actions and performance appraisals and acts on performance problems identified.
Provides management for the structural maintenance Program of his/her division.
Updates Readiness & Accreditation policies, standard
operating procedures (SOP's), emergency operating procedures (EOP's), and maintains
readiness documentation and inspection reports.
Maintains responsibility for all structural maintenance and repair.
Acts as the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) for Non-Recurring Maintenance (NRM) Building Service Equipment Replacements, and Maintenance/Service
Contracts, as well as prepares and submits acquisition and planning documents to Contracting. 1. Provides training on the specifics of the utility systems to staff engineers.
Conducts technical assistance to the various Facility Management Service personnel on structural maintenance and repair systems.
Provides cross-training to Facility Management Service personnel on the operation of the structural systems to maintain operation in an emergency situation.

Work Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday
