Job Description
Supply Tech

Serve as the Supply Technician located in the office of Prosthetics and Sensory Aid Service.Distribute supplies and equipment.
Order and stock supplies and equipment in all clinical areas required of Prosthetic & Sensory Aids Service at the VA Medical Center, and all Outpatient Clinics.
Perform inventory and quality assurance checks on stock items, restocks stockrooms, and re-orders inventory on a daily basis.
Regularly drive a cargo van to all outlying clinics on a weekly or as stock levels dictate to re-stock supply room with required inventory.
Responsible for providing equipment account data for the monthly reconciliation with Financial Operations.
Review all equipment requests and turn-ins for adherence to established replacement standards criteria, availability of space and utilities, central office or VISN clearances.
Responsible for assigning catalog numbers for equipment approved for purchase.
Ensure that item has proper nomenclature and extended data which will further identify the equipment.
Order Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as necessary for delivery to contract locations and the medical center.
Pick up serviceable and non-serviceable DME from contract offices for reuse or proper disposal.

An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
