Performs shipping/receiving duties for all equipment sent into the lab for calibration and returns calibrated equipment to customers. Be in constant contact with customers and vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs shipping/receiving duties for all items being sent into the lab for calibration and returns calibrated equipment to customers.
Closes work orders for completed calibrations performed by technicians. Forwards closed orders to accounting department for invoicing and assists with collection efforts as needed.
Prepares cost estimates for in lab and on-site calibrations for customers.
Inputs received equipment into the database in preparation for calibration.
Ensures that customers equipment is calibrated and returned in accordance with terms of the customer.
Responds to customer inquiries using all methods of communication. May include but not limited to cost estimates and updates of current status for work orders in the lab.
Performs other duties as assigned.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates Degree in scientific field of study preferred or equivalent related work experience. Minimum of two years of related experience and/or training.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Intermediate skills with Desktop publishing, Microsoft Office Suite and Online Help.
