As an Electrician (Power), you will be responsible for repairing, replacing, installing, and maintaining facility components using trade skills required of a Journeyman Electrician. Install all standard electrical equipment and devices according to the National Electrical Code to include proper sizing of power supplies, conduit, wire, hangers, boxes, fittings, overcurrent protection, distribution panels, motor control centers, and disconnect switches according to their NEMA classification or rating
Read and interpret electrical drawings, including floor plans, power plans, ladder diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and power distribution one-line diagrams
Work on 120v/240v single, 480v three phase power distribution up to 13.8KVA
Understands the operation of Power Generators, UPS systems and associated switch gear
VFD’s programming, wiring, and troubleshooting
Conduct PLC functions, wiring, and I/O troubleshooting
Safely handle AC Motors – 300 HP and below, 4-20ma control circuits and follow all electrical safety procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):
High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent required
5 years of experience working as an electrician within an industrial or commercial environment required (apprenticeship and/or military experience applicable)
Journeyman Electrician level experience required
Electrical experience up to 600 volts required
Experience working with high voltage switch gears and diesel generators preferred
Must be willing to work Tuesday through Friday from 7:30am – 4:00pm and Saturday from 6:00am – 2:30pm.
After the 31st day of employment you must become and remain a member in good standing in the union.
