The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Marketing and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. The Wells Fargo Virtual Channels (WFVC) organization is an industry leader in providing effective omni-channel servicing for financial services and products.    The Data Enablement and Automation (DEA) team fills a critical support function for WFVC by providing in-depth reporting and analysis, developing Business Intelligence strategies and solutions, and maximizing the value of Contact Center technologies through data and process automation.   This Analytic Consultant 3 position will be a key part of our focus around the growing demand for Business Assurance and Risk Control solutions.        

Core responsibilities of this role include:

  • Working as a part of our DEA Business Intelligence Team to design and drive creative solutions that solve risk, compliance, and performance management needs through data strategies and reporting automation.
  • Work directly with Business Assurance and Risk partners to define requirements, design solutions, and manage DEA development efforts to build automated solutions for Corrective Actions, Matters Requiring Attention, and other Risk mandated activities.  
  • Utilize technical skills to query, analyze, and present data discoveries and trends.   Provide interim ad-hoc reporting and analysis solutions to meet critical needs.  Establish data expertise for problem solving and issue resolution.  
  • Learn to navigate a large Contact Center Technology environment with varying platform integrations, data strategies, and organizational dynamics.
  • Participate as a member of the DEA team where cross team collaboration, consultative ideation, and a cooperative team focus drives a highly engaged and inclusive work environment.  

 



Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 3+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both
  • 3+ years of SQL or SAS experience
  • 3+ years of Microsoft office suite experience such as PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word
  • 3 + years of experience analyzing business requirements and transforming those requirements into business rules

  • 3 + years of SQL Server SSIS, SSRS and SSAS experience
  • 3 + years of experience with SharePoint Designer
  • 3+ years of financial services experience
  • Experience defining and/or developing business initiatives that require integration of multiple technology systems
  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
  • Ability to communicate confidentially and professionally
  • Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames
  • Ability to gather business requirements and create technical solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of business requirement development and documentation
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry: compliance, risk management, or audit operations
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Ability to manage medium to large sized projects
