The Automation Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for working as part of the Technology team and will specifically focus on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiatives.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Lead the creation, preparation, review, and execution of quality assurance activities
Handle highly complex quality assurance (QA) and test environment problems and issues
Create and maintain automation framework using Selenium and automation scripts
Work with development teams to help implement optimized and re-usable test automation functions
Prepare test approach and test scripts based on Stories/BRDs/FSDs
Review automation code to ensure standards and processes are followed, and advise on optimization of code
Implement continuous integration using Jenkins
Execute automation scripts and manual test cases, when necessary
Work closely with Business and Technology partners on defect resolutions
Work with Business and Technology partners to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve escalated issues during the testing process
Keep test documentation up to date
Analyze application specific software and perform ambiguity reviews of business requirements and technical functional specification documents
Use advanced knowledge of applications in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problems
Research new products and industry methodologies and facilitate the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards for testing
Provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff to resolve critical and non-routine scenarios
Support Production validations during late evenings and/or weekends
Provide on-call support (if needed) outside regular office hours to troubleshoot issues and work with EGS and technology partners
5+ years of application development and implementation experience
5+ years of quality assurance experience
5+ years of scripting and automation experience
2+ years of SQL experience
5+ years of experience leading multiple projects
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of CRM projects, tools, and systems
5+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
5 + years of experience with System Integration Testing (SIT)
Ability to deliver, evaluate, or test large technology efforts
Knowledge and understanding of application or project test plan development and management
Ability to prepare and execute test cases for data intensive applications
Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: creation of test data
Ability to identify gaps through risk based testing
Experience communicating and presenting complex information to multiple levels of the organization
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Knowledge and understanding of Selenium software testing framework
3+ years of Java experience
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
Ability to work additional hours as needed
